I use AutomatorWP LearnDash Addon when a LearnDash site needs actual workflow logic, not just course pages. It fits LMS builds where I want course, lesson, topic, quiz, or group events to trigger emails, user role changes, webhook calls, or other automations without wiring custom code for every case.
For admins, this saves time in the adminka. I can tie “user completes lesson” to an AutomatorWP recipe and keep the logic visible to the next person who inherits the site.
This add-on is mostly hook-driven. It listens to LearnDash events, then exposes them as triggers inside AutomatorWP → Automations. The rules live in WordPress, not in PHP templates: recipes, conditions, and action settings are stored in the DB, mainly via WordPress post/meta structures used by AutomatorWP.
There is basically no heavy front payload here. On the front end, the addon does not need big JS/CSS bundles to work; the real work happens server-side when LearnDash fires completion or enrollment hooks. That is why full-page cache is rarely the root problem. Failed cron, broken AJAX, object cache weirdness, or duplicated LearnDash events are the usual causes.
The most common failure I see: a trigger never fires after quiz or lesson completion. Root cause is usually not the addon itself. It is either:
admin-ajax.php / REST calls behind a security layer.Fast check: open DevTools → Network and complete the lesson/quiz again. I check for failed requests to admin-ajax.php, REST endpoints, or blocked files from /wp-content/plugins/automatorwp/. In Console, I look for JS errors from optimization plugins. If delay/minify is enabled, I exclude AutomatorWP and LearnDash scripts from delay, then purge cache and object cache.
Another real issue is duplicate runs. LearnDash can fire more than once if progress is recalculated or a membership plugin resaves access. I fix it by tightening recipe conditions, enabling one-time limits where available, and checking AutomatorWP logs before blaming the API.

My copy is activated and fully working, with no limits. I checked it myself: triggers are available, recipes save, and automations run normally.
It runs without a key. Without vendor activation, what you usually lose is auto-updates and official support. This addon does not depend on a cloud library or demo import flow.
Manual updates are simple: upload the new ZIP in Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, or replace the plugin via FTP. Do not edit plugin files directly. Updates overwrite them. I keep custom hooks in a small mu-plugin or snippet plugin and make a backup before replacing files.
Usually the LearnDash event never reaches AutomatorWP. Check Network for failed completion requests and verify the recipe is published, not draft.
Yes, but usually not page cache. Object cache, delayed JS, or blocked AJAX/REST causes the real break.
No. The addon works without a key. A key mainly affects one-click updates and vendor support.
If you edited plugin files, yes. Put custom logic in snippets or an mu-plugin, then update by ZIP/FTP and keep a backup.

The main difference compared to purchasing directly from the original author is that we don’t offer additional services such as custom development or one‑on‑one support.
