Puca – Optimized Mobile WooCommerce Theme fits stores where mobile conversion matters more than fancy desktop layouts: fashion, accessories, cosmetics, small catalog marketplaces. I use it when the brief is simple — fast product browsing, sticky mobile navigation, AJAX search, clean category pages, and WooCommerce-first templates.

It is not a “blank canvas” theme. Puca ships with opinionated shop layouts, product cards, mobile headers, off-canvas panels, and demo structures. That saves build time, but I avoid heavy custom rewrites in the parent theme because updates will overwrite them.

How it behaves inside WordPress

Most WooCommerce output is controlled through theme overrides in:

/wp-content/themes/puca/woocommerce/

That is where product loops, single product blocks, archive layout, cart fragments, and account templates can override native Woo templates. For safe edits, I copy only the needed file into the child theme and keep Woo template versions checked after updates.

Theme options usually live in the WP admin theme panel / Customizer, with values stored in wp_options and theme_mods. Layout work is partly editable through the theme settings, widgets, menus, and demo/page builder content; deeper markup changes still belong in PHP templates.

Assets are loaded through normal WordPress enqueue hooks. In DevTools → Network, I check theme CSS/JS, Woo assets, AJAX calls, and mobile menu scripts. Cache plugins can combine them, but I do not delay core Woo handles like:

jquery-core, wc-add-to-cart, wc-add-to-cart-variation, woocommerce, wc-cart-fragments

When those are delayed, variations stop switching, mini-cart totals freeze, or add-to-cart buttons fire twice.

Where it usually breaks

The most common issue I see is mobile UI breaking after aggressive optimization. Off-canvas cart, AJAX search, filters, or variation dropdowns fail because JS delay/minify changes execution order. Fast fix: in WP Rocket or LiteSpeed Cache, exclude WooCommerce JS handles and the theme’s main/mobile script from delay. Then check Console for jQuery is not defined or variation-form errors.

Another weak spot is outdated Woo template overrides. WooCommerce updates the core template, but the theme keeps an older copy. The symptom is usually broken product gallery, checkout layout, or missing notices. I fix it from WooCommerce → Status → Templates, then patch the child theme copy or update the parent theme.

Demo imports can also stall on cheap hosting. Root cause is usually low PHP memory, timeout, or blocked remote media. I raise memory to 256M, increase max execution time, import one demo only, then regenerate thumbnails and clear object/page cache.

GPL, activation, and updates

Puca runs without a license key as a WordPress theme; the PHP templates, WooCommerce overrides, and local theme options are functional. In this prepared build, the product is activated and fully working without visible limitations; the shop layouts, theme panel, Woo pages, and mobile features were checked in the working install.

Without vendor activation, what you normally lose is automatic updates, official support, cloud/demo library access, and direct bundled-plugin update delivery. I do not treat activation as a magic performance switch — it mainly affects maintenance and vendor services.

Manual updates are done by uploading the new theme ZIP in Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme, or by replacing the parent theme folder over FTP/SFTP. Any edits made inside the parent theme are overwritten. I keep all PHP changes in a child theme and export theme options before updating.

FAQs (the stuff people actually trip over)

Because wc-add-to-cart-variation or jquery-core was delayed/minified. Exclude those handles and retest the product page in DevTools Console.

Partly. Spacing, colors, headers, menus, and some layouts are editable in theme options/page builder. Product loop markup usually comes from Woo template files.

Cart fragments are cached or delayed. Exclude cart, checkout, my-account pages from page cache and do not delay wc-cart-fragments.

Yes, if you touch PHP templates or Woo overrides. Parent theme updates replace modified files, so custom code belongs in the child theme.

Before you send us a support request, take a quick look at our Terms Of Use and FAQs. We know nobody loves reading them, but very often the answer is already there and saves you some time.

What to do first

  1. If that doesn’t help, check the product documentation next.
A lot of small issues come from missed settings or simple setup steps, and the docs usually clear that up pretty fast.
  2. Still not working?
No problem — just open a support ticket and tell us what’s going on. We’ll take it from there.
  3. When to expect a reply
We usually get back to you within 1–2 business days. Sometimes faster, depending on the issue.

How to explain the problem (this really helps)

  • Be specific
Instead of saying “it doesn’t work,” tell us what exactly is going wrong. Which button? Which feature? What were you trying to do when it happened?
  • Add screenshots
Screenshots make a huge difference. Seriously. A simple image (or link to one) helps us understand the issue right away and saves a lot of back‑and‑forth.

Following these steps helps us help you faster — and with fewer questions along the way. Thanks for making support easier for everyone.

No, there are no limits. We don’t believe in restricting downloads. If you need to download a product multiple times, that’s absolutely fine.

We use professional, high‑performance storage systems to ensure downloads are fast, stable, and hassle‑free.

No, license keys are not included. In the past, license sharing and related issues caused account problems, so we decided to stop distributing keys.

That said, all products you receive are fully authentic. For items that normally require activation, we provide them pre‑activated, allowing you to install and use them immediately without dealing with license input or activation errors.

Yes — 100%. All products are original and distributed under the GNU GPL v2/v3 license.

The main difference compared to purchasing directly from the original author is that we don’t offer additional services such as custom development or one‑on‑one support. License keys are also not included. Instead, products that typically require activation are delivered ready to use, allowing installation on unlimited websites.

Yes, we stand behind our products. If you encounter an issue that cannot be resolved or a technical problem without a workable solution, we’ll do our best to help — and if necessary, issue a full refund.

Please note that refunds are not available if the product works as described but simply does not meet personal expectations. We’ve also encountered cases where refund requests were made while the product was still in use, which we cannot allow.

Our approach is simple: fairness and transparency. If you ever have a concern, just reach out — we’re always open to finding a reasonable solution that works for both sides.
